Atlas Box & Crating Company designs and manufactures packaging products, systems, and solutions for industrial and high technology product manufacturers and distributors. Through a comprehensive energy approach and use of multiple technologies, Atlas reduced its energy spend by 1.25 million kilowatt-hours or 55% of their total energy consumption across its two large facilities. The energy saving projects have the equivalent effect of reducing 1.5 million pounds of carbon per year and demonstrates to Atlas’ customers its commitment to sustainability.

Paul leads Groom Energy's Sustainability Consulting and Research practice, which assists Groom Energy's customers with their sustainability and energy reduction strategies, carbon footprint, responses to supply chain surveys such as Walmart Supplier Assessment and Carbon Disclosure Project, and RFPs for carbon and energy management software.

Paul is the primary author of a large report on energy management software and publishes Groom's research report titled “The 2013 Buyers' Guide for Enterprise Carbon Accounting and Sustainability Software”. He also authors a sustainability blog, and moderates EnterpriseSmartGrid.org.

Prior to his current role with Groom Energy, Paul held multiple senior executive roles with enterprise software service and management consulting firms such as Authoria, Open Market, AOL and Deloitte Consulting. Mr. Baier earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kenyon College.
